Hosono House

Starting with a nondescript existing structure built in the back portion of an unusual lot in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood, the design of this home sought to create a feeling of seclusion. A bridge was added to the entrance to create the spirit of an urban sanctuary, while a palette of warm natural materials and a lush landscape give a sense of calm.
